Founded in 1984 by our incumbent president MR. JOSEPH O. YAO, our company started as JY Multi-Products, first entering the local scene of trading salt from the provinces of Bulacan and Mindoro where warehouses were first maintained.

Staying true to our vision of surging ahead, we incorporated into J.Y. International Marketing, Inc. on February 10, 1988, diversifying into imported salt (TRS Brand) with the exclusive distributorship from K.C International Co. Ltd. based in Bangkok, Thailand.

The enthusiastic response of the consumers prompted the management to expand our operations and product lines. In 1993, diversification programs through product innovation and expansion were initiated, resulting in the importation of various agricultural products such as skimmed milk, buttermilk, green peas, mung beans, peanuts, cornstarch, cassava starch, monosodium glutamate (MSG), sotanghon, and chemicals such as caustic soda flakes.

In 1996, JY International Marketing, Inc., in line with Republic Act # 8172 commonly known as the “Salt Iodization Nationwide Program or Asin Law” became the accredited distributor of “Refined Iodized Salt” by the Department of Health. A license to operate was issued as proof of our company’s accreditation.

Under the aggressive efforts of the Management and the support of our customers, the growth of J.Y International Mktg., Inc. continued. In the latter part of 1997 importation of industrial chemicals such as Sodium Sulfate, Soda Ash Light and Dense began. It was also in this year that we began carrying Dampier Salt. Potash Alum entered the scene in 1999. In 2001, we became Arvin International Marketing Inc which marked the beginning of new era.

Today, the company maintains strategically located warehouses and offices all over the Philippines. Capturing 75% of the market; we are the market leader in Salt and is an emerging player in the chemical industry. With our more than 70 very competent workforces, we continue to face the challenges head on.
